DIXON – Ralph C. Pierson, 93, of Dixon, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012, at Heritage Square in Dixon. He taught for 30 years at Dixon Public Schools.

Ralph was born Feb. 19, 1919, in Princeton, the son of Charles and Mary Pierson. He served in the Army during World War II. Ralph married Frances “Jay” Dahl on Oct. 18, 1947, in Princeton. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Dixon.

Survivors include his wife of Dixon; and two sons, Philip (Evelyn) Pierson of Bourbonnais and Paul (Ruth) Pierson of Loves Park.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., followed by the memorial service at 10:30 a.m., Saturday at First United Methodist Church. Burial of cremains will be at Oakland Cemetery in Princeton. Preston-Schilling Funeral Home in Dixon handled arragements.

A memorial has been established to First United Methodist Church.
