SYCAMORE – A DeKalb man is being held on $500,000 bond after being accused of engaging in and photographing sexual acts with a teen boy.

Michael A. DiMichele, 58, of DeKalb, is facing seven felony charges of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, criminal sexual assault and five counts of child pornography.

According to court files, DiMichele had sex with a male between 13 and 17 years old on Nov. 16. Child pornography charges stem from accusations that DiMichele took pictures of himself engaging in sex with the victim.

DiMichele faces up to 97 years in prison as each Class 1 felony carries up to 15 years in prison and the lone Class 2 felony charge carries a maximum seven-year term. DiMichele, who is self-employed, will be represented by the DeKalb County Public Defender’s Office.

His next court date is scheduled for Jan. 3.
