MORRISON – The recent phony bomb threat at Morrison High School is Whiteside County Crime Stoppers crime of the month.

The threat was reported to police shortly after 9 a.m. Monday; the school was evacuated but classes resumed later that morning when police found no evidence it was a legitimate threat.

Similar threats were reported Nov. 6, Feb. 21, and Sept. 11, and April 8 and 29 and June 7 last year. Two teen boys were determined to have made some of them, police have said.

Anyone with information on Monday’s incident is asked to call Morrison police at 815-772-7659 or Whiteside County Crime Stoppers at 877-625-7867. Callers will remain anonymous, and information that leads to an arrest could bring a $500 reward.
