DIXON – Crete L. Murray-Tegge, 77, of Dixon, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012, at Rockford Memorial Hospital. She was employed as a secretary at Tri-County Opportunities Council for many years.

Crete was born Oct. 25, 1935, in Rock Falls, the daughter of Glenn M. and Fern V. (Church) Harshman. She married Donald Murray on June 6, 1954. He preceded her in death on Aug. 20, 2004. She later married Thomas Tegge on May 26, 2007, in Dixon.  Crete was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Dixon.  

Survivors include her husband, Tom, and his six children; her three daughters, Robyn (John) Johnson of Darlington, S.C., Christie (Joe) Fiorini of Sterling, and Margo Trevino of Canton, Ga.; nine grandchildren, Kelsey (Ignacio) Cantu of Rock Falls, Dalton Trevino of Charleston, S.C., Keaton Trevino, of Canton, Joshua (Roxanne) Fiorini and Lucas Fiorini, both of Sterling, Heather (Curtis) Box of Oklahoma, and Heidi Crow, Jerah Johnson and Cassidy Johnson, all of Darlington; and 10 great-grandchildren, Bruklyn Cantu of Rock Falls, Gannon Fiorini and Kaleb Fiorini, both of Sterling, Gage Warren, Quincy Crow, Daughtry Scott and Delaney Scott, all of Darlington, and Daytona Box, Marcus Box and Tyler Box, all of Oklahoma.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with the rosary recited at 12:30 p.m., Saturday at Schilling Funeral Home in Sterling. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Monsignor Thomas Bales, pastor of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Amboy, officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded. 

A memorial has been established.
