Some people missed out on Snowball Drop

Regarding Dixon Main Street’s Great Snowball Drop last Friday evening, who planned this? Because it did not sit very well with people who were there. They kept telling people where to stand and that it was a guarantee that they would get one where everyone was at.

Well, guess again. Another disappointment for the citizens and the people who came from out of town to enjoy a night out. Organizers said that they had 3,000 of the ping pong “snowballs,” but the people who were close to the wall got all of them because of the wind and the angle that they pointed the air tubes. They should have seen that the balls were going to only one place and redirected it so everyone had a chance.

I heard that kids were upset they did not get any “snowballs,” and when all was said and done, we saw people with bags full of them when they were only supposed to get three. Those people should be ashamed of themselves. I think next year they should have one contest for adults, one for teens, and one for the little kids so they do not feel left out.
