Local students honored as scholars

The Illinois Student Assistance Commission has named 19,000 high school students as state scholars.

Area students include:

Amboy High School: Caleb Becker, Calvin Dewey, Andrew Klein, Payton Koch, Natalyn Rood, Rachel Vaessen and Victoria Welch.

Ashton-Franklin Center High School in Ashton: Anthony Gendusa and Molly Uphoff.
