Chicago forced seven first-half turnovers en route to a two-point advantage at the break. Hinrich stripped Hibbert and fed Marco Belinelli for a breakaway layup to break a 35-35 tie just before the half.

Hibbert had little offensive impact in the first half, scoring just two points, but used his size to take over in the third quarter when Indiana outscored Chicago 25-18.

Belinelli scored a modest six points with an assist and a turnover in his first start for Chicago, playing in place of the injured Richard Hamilton. Hamilton is out indefinitely after suffering a torn plantar fascia in his left foot during Saturday's 93-88 win over Philadelphia.

Hamilton's injury left the Bulls even thinner at the guard position, with former MVP Derrick Rose still sidelined due to surgery in May to repair a torn ACL in his left knee.

The Pacers are in the middle of a nine-game stretch in which Chicago is its only Eastern Conference opponent.

Good or bad? Depends on who you ask

Sometimes readers ask for more good news in the paper. They say we in the media only cover the bad. But one person's positive is another's negative.

My kind of game

I would have gladly paid to take in the game I covered Saturday morning in Morrison.
