Fundraising team nabs All Star Award

ROCKFORD – Relay For Life of Whiteside County received the American Cancer Society’s Relay All Star Award at a recent leadership summit in Itasca.

It also was named one of the top 25 relays in the state. The award goes to relays that achieve significant fundraising and participant growth.

This year, Whiteside County raised approximately $154,000 with nearly 375 participants.

Local residents have begun forming teams and raising money for the 2013 relay.
