Dukes unable to handle Timberwolves center
Large takes charge
DIXON – Indian Creek center Garrison Govig is a beefy 6-foot-9. Dixon's two tallest players are 6-4. The Dukes contained the big man for three quarters, but he dominated the fourth.
Govig scored 12 of his 22 points in the fourth quarter as the Timberwolves broke from a tie with less than 6 minutes to play for a 58-46 nonconference win Tuesday night at Lancaster Gym.
"We didn't really stick to our gameplan," said Dixon's Cal Jarrett, who scored a team-high 16 points. "We didn't execute the things we needed to. In the second half, our help side just wasn't there when we needed it to be."
