Amboy beats Morrison; Dixon loses to Yorkville
Smith paces Clippers in victory
Autumn Smith had a double-double to lead Amboy to a 45-28 Three Rivers home win over Morrison on Tuesday night.
Smith had 10 points and 10 rebounds. Kaitlyn Liebing had 10 points, while Brooke Lovgren added seven points and five rebounds for Amboy (5-4, 1-2).
Ashley Greul had 17 points for Morrison (0-4, 0-4).
Yorkville 60, Dixon 26: Paige Beach scored 13 points and Mackenzie Bollinger added 12 to lead the Foxes past the Duchesses (3-6) in Yorkville.
Polo 55, AFC 45: Aleetra Roberts paced a balanced attack with 16 points as the Marcos topped the Raiders in Ashton.
Also for Polo (3-5, 2-2 NUIC East), Keeley Meyer had 14 points, Brecken Albrecht had 11 and Alina Llanas added 10. Meyer and Roberts also combined for 15 rebounds and six steals.
For AFC (4-3, 0-3), Alisyn Essex had 17 points and Kayla Colwell added 10.
Faith Christian 35, Cornerstone 16: Tressa Schuler scored 14 points as the Falcons won a NICC game in Grand Detour.
Amanda Smith and Sarah Smith each scored six points for Faith (6-1), which held Cornerstone scoreless in the third quarter.
Dixon 2,620, United Township 2,510: Devan Gearhart's 578 series led the Duchesses past the Panthers at Plum Hollow Lanes.
Gearhart was consistent with games of 193, 190 and 195. She was followed by Autumn Day (546), Emily Quaco (531), Margaret Thomas (512) and Kayla Bonnette (453).
UT's Katie James was the meet's top performer with a 594 series.
Oregon 2,300, Byron 2,084: Amber Tucker's 475 series led the Hawks past the Tigers at Town & Country Lanes in Mount Morris.
Karissa Corbin (441) and MacKenzie Tague (436) also broke 400 for Oregon.
