October Student of the Month: Molly Uphoff

Senior Molly Uphoff, 17, of Franklin Grove, is AFC High School’s October Student of the Month. Her parents are Ed and Kathy Uphoff. Her brother is Joe, 14.

Favorite class: History.

Top teacher: Steve Toole. He always has interesting stories that go along with what he is teaching.

Extracurriculars: Girls basketball manager, softball, Academic Team, Book Club, musical.

After graduation: I plan to attend Illinois State University or St. Norbert College in De Pere, Wis., and major in business administration.

Personal trivia: I can make amazing pies from scratch, and I’ve been to seven countries.

Dream job: Working for a professional hockey team.

Paycheck: Waitress at Pizza Hut in Oregon.

Best friend: Rachael Dickey. We have been friends since seventh grade. We do almost everything together and sometimes we dress alike without coordinating it.

Trading spaces: Innsbruck, Austria. I would love to see the family I stayed with while there, and I would like to see the friends I made while there.

Favorite musical groups: Brantley Gilbert or Florida Georgia Line.

Favorite actor: Gerard Butler.

Favorite movie: “Bridesmaids.”

Favorite TV show: “Revolution.”

Favorite food: Three-cheese pasta.

Biggest fear: Being alone.

Trading places: Gary Bettman, so that I could end the NHL lockout.

Least favorite class: General business.

Darts: Lack of teamwork or a bad attitude.
