John J. Pauly Sr.

STERLING – John J. Pauly Sr., 90, of Sterling, formerly of Chicago, died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, at Franklin Grove Living and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born March 19, 1922, in Chicago, the son of James and Helen (Riordan) Pauly. He married Lillian Klasen on May 3, 1947, in Chicago. She preceded him in death on Sept. 16, 2011.

He was a teacher and administrator for the Chicago Public Schools for 37 years before retiring. He also was principal at St. Mary Catholic School in Dixon for 3 years. John was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Dixon.
