Senior Morgan Mammosser, 17, of Rock Falls, is Rock Falls High School’s November Student of the Month. She is the daughter of Jay and Sheila Mammosser of Rock Falls; her brothers are 16-year-old twins Matthew and Jacob Mammosser, sophomores. The family has a soft-coated Wheaten terrier named Teddy.

Favorite class: Biology 2. I liked learning about the body and anatomy. It was fun.

Favorite teacher: Mindy Porter, biology. I just liked how she explained everything and used videos and hands-on learning. It’s my kind of learning.

Extracurriculars: Volleyball, basketball and track; ACE (Athletes Committing to Excellence) Club, French Club, Junior Optimist Club, Key Club, National Honor Society and Student Council class vice president.

After graduation: I’m planning to go to college to study fashion merchandising and marketing, but I’m undecided on which college. I’ve applied to Illinois State University and St. Ambrose University.

Paycheck: I work for Rock Falls Elementary District 13 in the summer doing maintenance – cleaning, painting rooms and all that. It’s fun. I like that it’s not all day, every day. I mean, I have my nights and weekends still.

Best friends: Addesyn Nailor and Linsey Brown. I’ve known them since preschool. Our families are like one, giant family put together. They’re just always there for me.

Favorite singer: Taylor Swift.

Favorite actor: Channing Tatum.

Favorite movie: “Love & Basketball”.

Favorite TV show: “Pretty Little Liars”.

Hobbies: I like to shop. And I like to eat.

Favorite game or outdoor activity: Volleyball.

Favorite food: Taco pizza at Pizza Hut.

Favorite place to shop: Forever 21.

Biggest fear: Drowning. I hate not being able to breathe.

Pet peeve: When people scrape their teeth on silverware.

What kind of music makes your skin crawl? Screamo.

What trend do you wish would go away? Winter boots with shorts. Just ... why? Boots go with jeans.

Haunts: My room. It’s like my own little sanctuary. I like to relax there.

I’m in the dictionary next to: Outgoing. I’m not shy. I talk to anyone, and I’m up for anything.

Secret twin: People have told me I look like Lady Gaga. I don’t know if that’s a compliment or not...

Personal trivia: I think most people know most everything. I’m actually a really big nerd, though.

Dream job: Celebrity stylist. I love that kind of stuff.

Trading places: I would totally trade places with Channing Tatum’s wife...because why would I not want to look at him all day?

Read this: “The Fault in Our Stars” by John Green. It was about cancer patients. It showed that two people can love each other even though they’re going to separate worlds.

Favorite websites: Facebook or Pinterest.

What would you do if you had $100,000? Shop, probably. Then put some toward college and donate some to charity – probably St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

What do you wish your high school offered? I wish we had tennis. And better food.

What’s a tip you would give freshmen for making high school life easier? Take all your hard classes first; get them out of the way. And don’t be annoying in the hallways.

Shout out to: My boyfriend, Nic Miller, at Newman Central Catholic High School.
