Fog cited in motorcyclist’s death
STILLMAN VALLEY – A dense fog late Sunday might have led to the death of a Rockford motorcyclist whose bike went off the road and hit a guardrail, police said Monday.
William A. Gray, 33, was pronounced dead at SwedishAmerican Hospital in Rockford.
A news release from Ogle County Sheriff Michael Harn said that Gray was northbound on Kishwaukee Road about 9:43 p.m. when, because of dense fog and poor visibility, he did not follow the roadway as it curved left.
