STERLING – Beatrice L. Preseau, 77, of Sterling, died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at Coventry Living Center in Sterling. She was an assembler at Admiral in Dixon for many years before retiring.

Beatrice was born July 11, 1935, in Sheboygan, Mich., the daughter of Raymond and Adelina (Brown) Dyer.  

Survivors include one daughter, Terry Rodriguez of Sterling; one son, Joseph (Linda) Dyer of Rock Falls; one brother, Eugene (Eillean) Dyer of Port Huron, Mich.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.

There will be no visitation. Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Oak Knoll Memorial Park in Sterling with Don Reul officiating. Schilling Funeral Home in Sterling handled arrangements.

A memorial has been established.

Wise saw collapse in support

On pensions, Bivins and GOP far apart

Sen. Tim Bivins, R-Dixon, joined with many of his fellow Senate Republicans this week to reject a pension bill sponsored by Democratic Senate President John Cullerton of Chicago. The measure passed 40-16. Bivins had a different reason for his no vote.
