Warriors lead wire-to-wire

Stephanie Kester hit four 3-pointers and scored a game-high 14 points to lead Sterling past Geneseo 38-27 on Friday in both teams’ NIB-12 West opener at Geneseo.

Sterling (4-3, 1-0) led 13-4 after one quarter and 23-8 at the half. Kaitlyn Bauer tossed in nine points for the Warriors, while Kiarra Harris had six points and a team-high five rebounds.

Dixon 49, Streator 36: Brooke Bailey tossed in 20 points and Kacie Dillow added 16 to lead the Duchesses to a road win against the Bulldogs.
