CHICAGO (AP) – A brother of former Congressman Jesse Jackson Jr. says he hasn’t made a decision whether to run for Congress to replace Jackson.

Jonathan Jackson made the comments Tuesday on Chicago’s WVON during a weekly radio appearance. Jackson is a business professor at Chicago State University and a commentator on the economy.

During Jackson’s appearance, listeners brought up the possibility of him running in a special election to replace his brother. Jonathan Jackson says many people have asked him and that he doesn’t know yet, but will decide as soon as possible.

Jesse Jackson Jr. resigned last week, citing his health. The Chicago Democrat also acknowledged he is under federal investigation, reportedly for misuse of campaign funds.

Several candidates have announced intentions to run, including former Democratic Congresswoman Debbie Halvorson.

Good or bad? Depends on who you ask

Sometimes readers ask for more good news in the paper. They say we in the media only cover the bad. But one person's positive is another's negative.
