VFW prepares food baskets for those in need
OREGON – Oregon Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8739 will deliver Christmas food baskets to needy families and individuals in the Oregon area.
Volunteers will make up the baskets Dec. 21 and 22. They will be delivered between 8 a.m. and noon Dec. 22.
Any family or person who is in need may call the VFW from 7:30 to 9 a.m. or 3:30 to 6 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays at 815-732-6851. Names, addresses and phone numbers are requested. The deadline to call for a basket is Friday.
