Firefighters attend monthly meeting

MANLIUS – Members of the Manlius Fire Department met in November at Manlius Fire Hall. The meeting, with 10 members present, was conducted by Aaron Roush, president.

Business included acknowledgement of a thank-you letter and donation from Juanita Quickle due to a recent fire. Money also was received from Mr. and Mrs. Bob Rudiger for the department’s Halloween costume party. Another thank-you note came from the Hubert Hewitt family. The department will purchase a large Blitz nozzle to hook onto the hose pumper. They also will donate $150 to the United Way for children’s toys for Christmas.

Jeremy Roush, Mitch Doty and Justin Doty received attendance awards.

The next regular meeting and annual supper is at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 202 S. Fourth St. Election of officers also will take place.

The Christmas party will be at 6 p.m. Jan. 18 at the Prime Quarter Steak House, 250 Backbone Road E, Princeton.
