4-H club members mark achievements

OREGON – Ogle County Clovers 4-H Club members celebrated their accomplishments during the year at the 4-H Clover Awards, Nov. 18 at the Oregon Coliseum.

The club received the “Club of the Year” award, based on points earned throughout the year.

Club members will present the trophy to the next winner in November 2013.

Nine members earned gold achievement awards, and one earned a silver achievement award. Active Ogle County Federation members are Megan Ackland, secretary, and Jordan Mingus, sentry.

Each of them presented an award during the ceremony.

Afterward, members celebrated other milestones, including top state fair honors for Megan Ackland of Rochelle and Kayla Mingus of Byron.
