Winnogene M. ‘Winnie’ McFetridge
DIXON – Winnogene M. “Winnie” McFetridge, 95, of Dixon, died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, at her home. She was a legal secretary for Edward Jones Attorney and the state highway department, and manager for the Dixon branch office of WSDR.
She was born Oct. 4, 1917, in Ashton, the daughter of Clifford and Orpha (Miller) Knapp. She married Bradley Moll on Aug. 27, 1950, in Dixon. He preceded her in death on Oct. 2, 1964. She then married Dr. James G. McFetridge on May 11, 1967, in Aurora. He preceded her in death on Aug. 10, 1989. Winnie was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Dixon, the Phidian Art Club, past president of Dorothy Chapter 371, Order of the Eastern Star, KSB Auxiliary and the Lee County Women’s Republican Party. She was a graduate of Coppins Business School and taught dancing for several years.
Survivors include one son, John D. (Bernadette) McFetridge of Danville; two daughters, Jane (Donald McLean) McFetridge of Oak Park and Sheila (John) Kitlen of Boulder, Colo; five grandchildren, Katherine McFetridge, Michael McFetridge, Brenna McLean, Olivia McLean and Eva Kitlen; one nephew, Graydon Moll; and one great-nephew, Morgan Moll.
