CHADWICK – Pauline Kness, 92, of Chadwick, died Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012, at Pleasant View Nursing Home in Morrison.

Pauline was born Aug. 31, 1920, in Morrison, the daughter of August and Florence (Larkey) Forester. She was raised in Morrison and attended country schools. Pauline married Carl Kness and celebrated more than 50 years of marriage. Carl died May 26, 1993.

Pauline was a homemaker who cherished taking care of her family. She helped her husband operate their family business, Kness Trucking in Chadwick. Pauline also worked at the Chadwick Grocery Store for several years. She was a longtime member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she served on several committees and councils. Pauline enjoyed sewing comforters, cooking and baking, especially her delicious cinnamon rolls and pies. She loved the time spent with close friends daily for coffee.
