MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa – Sharon Krosch, 56, of 2450 Coppock Park Road, Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012, at Israel Hospice House in Ames, Iowa, with her loving husband Mike and her mother Colleen by her side.

Sharon Michaeline Baldassini was born in San Diego. She was the daughter of Kelley and Colleen (Clancy) Baldassini. Sharon had attended school in the area of her birth, graduating from Helix High School in San Diego with the class of 1974. She graduated from college sigma cum laude with an Associate of Arts.

On Nov. 23, 1996, Sharon was united in marriage to Michael Krosch in Las Vegas. She had resided in Lake Tahoe and Las Vegas, most recently in Sterling, and for the last 3 years, rural Marshalltown. Sharon had worked in the grocery business for a number of years and also had been a teacher’s aide. Since living in Marshalltown, she had been a member and secretary of the Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center Ladies Auxiliary. Sharon was a very talented and creative person. She loved to sew, quilt, knit, paint, do outdoor gardening, and always enjoyed her computer. She also loved people, swimming, boating, fishing, camping and in her earlier years, hiking. 

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 16 years, Michael; his family; her mother, Colleen Baldassini; a brother, Shannon Michael Baldassini; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

In heaven, Sharon rejoins her father, Kelley.

A celebration of life was held at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 23 at Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. Burial will be at a later date.
