DIXON – Anne Elizabeth Ackert Hannan, 91, of Dixon, died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, at Heritage Square, Dixon. She worked for 25 years as a secretary for Henry Pratt before retiring in 1987.

Anne was born Nov. 27, 1920, in Dixon, the daughter of Frank and Bess (Keyes) Ackert. She married Everett Hannan on Aug. 12, 1945, in Dixon. He preceded her in death on March 30, 1994. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Dixon.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Harris and Gail Ackert; and two sisters, Amy Wadsworth and Frances Ives.

There will be no visitation. Cremation rites have been accorded. The memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m. Dec. 7 at Heritage Square in Dixon, with the Rev. Frank Berman officiating. Preston-Schilling Funeral Home in Dixon handled arrangements.

A memorial has been established to Granny Rose Animal Shelter.
