Audra Lynn Nelson
STREAMWOOD – Audra Lynn Nelson, 43, died Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, at her parents’ home in Rock Falls.
Audra was born on April 4, 1969, the daughter of James and Karen (Vandersnick) Nelson in Sterling. She graduated from Newman Central Catholic High School in 1987 and from Sauk Valley Community College with an associate degree. She worked for many years as the director of logistics at Hub Group. Audra was the former president of L.O.H (Ladies of Harley) and a former member of the Chicago H.O.G. (Harley Owners Group) Chapter, current member of the Wildfire H.O.G. Chapter, and a lifetime National H.O.G. member.
Survivors include her parents, Jim and Karen; partner and love of her life, Gregory Tinney of Streamwood and his stepdaughter, Alexandra Ponder of Park Ridge; three sisters, Katherine Nelson of Rock Falls, Sharon (Chon) Wherry of Coal Valley and Nancy (Dennis) Heltemes of Milwaukee; one brother, Timothy (Mary) Nelson of Sterling; four nieces, Malorie, Kayla, Savanna, and Carly; three nephews, James, Shawn, and Peter; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.
