PROPHETSTOWN – Alice L. Morris, 80, of Prophetstown, died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2012, at SwedishAmerican Hospital in Rockford.

Alice was born Aug. 21, 1932, in Walnut, the daughter of Omar and Arleta (Dietz) Morgan. She married Clellan Morris on Dec. 26, 1950, in Princeton; he died Nov. 7, 1987.

Alice was a lifelong farmer’s wife and also worked as a receptionist at Dr. Bryan’s dentistry office. She was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church in Prophetstown. Alice was a part of the Prophetstown Red Hat Club, Royal Neighbors and the SOS Club. She worked as a nurse’s aide at Morrison Community Hospital, and a volunteer at Illini Hospital in Silvis.
