FRANKLIN GROVE – James Murray O’Brien, 83, of Franklin Grove, died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2012, at Franklin Grove Living and Rehabilitation Center. He had been a truck driver for 62 years, most recently driving for Maplehurst Farms.  

He was born June 17, 1929, in Dundee, the son of Murray and Mary (Mullarky) O’Brien. He married Donna Payne on June 14, 1952, in Harmon. She preceded him in death on June 21, 2001. 

Jim was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend of many. He enjoyed trucking, restoring cars and playing cards, and was known for telling many jokes.
