Burglaries reported in Lee, Ogle counties

ASHTON – Two men, one from Rochelle, were in the Ogle County Jail on Wednesday, charged in a string of break-ins in Lee and Ogle counties, the Ogle Sheriff’s Department said in a news release.

William W. Clark, 33, of Rochelle, is being held on $100,000 bond, while Adam J. Orenday, 30, of Rockford, is being held on $30,000 bond, the release said.

Ogle County was assisting the Lee County Sheriff’s Department with a report of a burglary in the Ashton area, called in around 7 a.m. Monday. A short time later, a deputy spotted Clark walking along state Route 38 north of Ashton, the release said.
