ROCK FALLS – Rogerio M. Garza, 68, of Rock Falls, died Monday, Nov. 19, 2012. He was employed as a millwright at Northwestern Steel and Wire Co. in Sterling for 30 years.

He was born May 9, 1944, in Robstown, Texas, the son of Rogerio and Refugia (Moreno) Garza. He married Hortencia Ortiz on May 25, 1964, in Laredo, Texas. He was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church in Rock Falls. He was an avid fisherman and hunter.

Surviving are his wife, Hortencia; five sons, Ramiro Garza and Adam A. Garza, both of Rock Falls, Rogerio G. Garza of Dixon, Robert T. (Nichole) Garza of Sterling and Raynaldo (Bobbie) Garza of Kalona, Iowa; and nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m., followed by the Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Andrew Catholic Church, with Monsignor Thomas Dzielak, celebrant, officiating. Burial will be at Coloma Township Cemetery in Rock Falls.
