DuPage County judge rules to allow 2 court cameras
WHEATON (AP) — A DuPage County judge has ruled to allow a single still camera and a single television camera into his courtroom for the upcoming arraignment of a Naperville woman accused of killing two children.
Judge Robert Kleeman ruled Tuesday to allow the cameras for Wednesday's hearing for Elzbieta Plackowska. The suburban Chicago woman is charged with killing her son and a girl she was babysitting.
Wednesday will be the first time TV and still cameras will be allowed in a DuPage County courtroom. The county is among several to take part in an Illinois Supreme Court pilot program to allow cameras in courtrooms.
