Steven J. Werner, 24, of Chillicothe; 3:14 p.m. Sunday; Illinois Department of Corrections and Rockford Police Department warrants.

Brent A. Myers, 25, of East Moline; 2:03 p.m. Sunday; warrant – residential burglary, two warrants – failure to appear – contempt; taken to Lee County Jail.

Kevin McCarthy, 42, of Rockford; Saturday; driving under the influence of alcohol, leaving the scene of an accident, illegal transportation of alcohol, improper lane usage.

Wise saw collapse in support

Last week, Sterling Alderwoman Amy Viering attended her last meeting as a city official. She gave the usual praise one hears at such departures. But one compliment stuck out. At the end of her speech, she turned to City Administrator Scott Shumard and said, "You're awesome."
