Mark S. Myers

STERLING – Mark S. Myers, 51, of Sterling, died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012, at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford. He was a machinist for the past 17 years at Woods Equipment Co. in Oregon.

He was born May 16, 1961, in Dixon, the son of Austin C. and Judith E. (Gann) Myers. Mark married the former Kristi (Hubbard) Vock on Sept. 18, 1995, in Lake Tahoe. He loved riding his motorcycle, and was a true enthusiast.

Surviving are his wife, Kristi; his son, Owen Myers of Sterling; his brothers, Byron (Samuela) Myers of Rock Falls and Allen Myers of Oregon; his sister, Myrna (Gary) Siegrist of Kirkland; his mother and stepfather, Judy and Charles Deets of Rock Falls; stepbrothers, Kimmel Deets of Rock Falls, Curtis (Mary) Deets of Sterling and Eric (Ashley) Deets of Sarasota, Fla.; and stepsisters, Sherri Bock of Jacksonville, Fla., and Connie Sue Deets of Dixon.
