Joseph S. Rebolitti

Joseph was born Oct. 31, 1917, in Chicago, the son of Anthony and Jenny (Lascherda) Rebolitti. He married Lorrayne Emerson on Sept. 11, 1949, in Chicago. She preceded him in death in 1993. 

Joseph loved his kids, grandkids, great-grandkids, and dancing with his wife. He served in the Air Force during World War II, and was honored to participate in the recent Honor Flight trip to Washington, D.C. Joseph was a volunteer at KSB Hospital, CGH Medical Center in Sterling, and the Reagan Boyhood Home in Dixon. He sold bingo cards at the Elks Club and enjoyed yardwork and making special pumpkins for his friends and family for Halloween.

Survivors include two daughters, Jolene (the late Hal) Moroney of Dixon and Linnea (Dale) Rietow of Mundelein; four grandchildren, Kirsten (Tim) Crawford and Marc (Melissa) Feit, both of Dixon, Eric (Marianne) Rietow of Plainfield and Bret Rietow of Chicago; seven great-grandchildren, Kyle, Ashley and Jordyn Crawford, Bryce and Brady Feit, and Addison and Jaxson Rietow; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was also preceded in death by four brothers, John, Mike, Harry and Louis; and three sisters, Murphy, Millie and Louise.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. today at the funeral home, with the Rev. Vincent Marrandino, director of pastoral care at KSB Hospital in Dixon, officiating. Burial will be at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines.

A memorial has been established.
