Philip J. Ries
STERLING – Philip J. Ries, 52, of Sterling, died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at CGH Medical Center in Sterling.
Born March 26, 1960, in Sterling, he was the son of Vernon S. and Jean L. (Adams) Ries.
He enjoyed playing guitar, fishing, golfing, playing pool, working crossword puzzles, and collecting Hot Wheels cars.
Surviving are his daughter, Joyce Ries of Rock Falls, his sisters, Pam Shank of Lyndon and Patti Jensen of Florida; and his grandchildren, Cedrick and Samara Ries-Wilsey.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Oak Knoll Memorial Park in Sterling.
