ROCK FALLS – Early on Thursday night, the Rockets Falls Rockets got a taste of the kind of team they could be this season against Stillman Valley at Tabor Gym.

But by the time the horn sounded to end the Rockets’ 39-35 win over the Cardinals, coach Craig Mammosser was left with a sour taste on his tongue. 

“It was just disappointing,” Mammosser said. “We played very well and got up and let them back into it. We talked about the lack of practice, but tonight it was more about heart. It doesn’t take a lot of practice to play with heart. We have to find that if we want to be a good team.”
