Quilt sections on display for World AIDS Day
DIXON – Sauk Valley Community College will mark World AIDS Day with a program from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday that includes a display of sections of the world-renowned AIDS memorial quilt.
Sauk clubs will have information tables and activities set up to increase awareness of and break myths surrounding AIDS. Participants will be invited to create support ribbons to wear.
The Lee County Health Department will be available to provide information as well as free, confidential rapid HIV testing.
