Sobolewski scored all 13 of his points, including two 3-point baskets, down the stretch to give Northwestern (2-0) the victory.

No. 1 Indiana 99, Sam Houston State 45: Christian Watford scored 23 points in a Progressive Legends Classic game in Bloomington, Ind.

Will Sheehey scored 18 points, Victor Oladipo had 14 and Jordan Hulls 10 for the Hoosiers (3-0).

Iowa 66, Howard 36: The Hawkeyes rode a lopsided first half to victory in Iowa City, Iowa.

Devyn Marble led all scorers with 22, and Iowa led 36-16 at the break.

Illinois State 86, Drexel 84: Jackie Carmichael scored a game-high 21 points and the Redbirds edged the Dragons 11-9 in the extra session in Philadelphia.
