DIXON – Monetary gifts are being accepted by the American Red Cross for victims of Hurricane Sandy and other people recovering from disasters.

Donations can be mailed to American Red Cross, Rock River Chapter, 727 N. Church St., Rockford, IL 61103 or American Red Cross, Lee County Branch, 735 N. Galena Ave., Suite 100, Dixon, IL 61021. Checks should be made out to American Red Cross.

Other methods include visiting www.redcross.org or calling 800-733-2767, or texting the word REDCROSS to 90999 for a $10 donation.
