Art program set at Sauk Valley

DIXON – Tim Drane, an abstract artist from Dixon, will demonstrate his work from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Thursday in Room 2K11 at Sauk Valley Community College, 173 state Route 2.

The program is free. Drane will use colors and techniques to create the piece, which will be donated to the college. The artist started painting in 2011, and has works displayed at the Crystal Cork and The Next Picture Show in Dixon.

Drane receives inspiration from abstract painter Jackson Pollock.
