Combined meeting set for Thursday

PRINCETON – The combined November and December meeting of the Bureau County Genealogical Society will be Thursday at the society library, 629 S. Main St.

There will be a social hour at 6 p.m. for members and the public. Those attending are asked to bring finger food to share buffet style. The business meeting and election of officers will begin at 7 p.m.

Retired farmer Roger Moore of Rock Falls will be the guest speaker. He will share his 30 years of family history researching. His Moore line goes back to 1832; other surnames in his family tree are Flint, Carlson, Norton, Cooper, Pierson, Harlan and Lemke.
