‘Reeducation’ effort misfired

Published: Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012 1:15 a.m. CST

With the dust finally settled from our recent election, I’d like to express my contempt to the coward who mailed me an anonymous copy of “Team Obama.”

To spend $4 a copy plus $2.29 postage each, mailing eight of these hate-filled, vitriolic diatribes in your “Gestapo” attempt to “re-educate” with tea party theology; lots of luck with that.

A shout of thanks to the person or persons unknown who removed the eight campaign signs from the front yard, saving our time and trouble to dispose of same.

Finally, isn’t it prophetic that Bain Capital LLC became the “bane” of Mitt Romney’s existence politically? Just asking.

Rock Falls is considering a ban on leaf burning. Should the city finally take that step?
Yes. Sterling and Dixon have had bans for years. It’s time for Rock Falls to impose a ban.
No. It would be too great a burden for homeowners to dispose of fallen leaves in other ways.
