State’s attorney to swap positions
Roe newly appointed circuit judge; board to choose his replacement
OREGON – Newly elected Ogle County State’s Attorney Ben Roe soon will be sitting on the other side of the bench.
The Illinois Supreme Court has appointed Roe to serve as an Ogle County Resident Circuit Judge, effective Jan. 7. He will replace Judge Michael Mallon, who is retiring Dec. 4.
On Nov. 6, Ogle County voters elected Roe, a Republican, to his third term. He ran unopposed and received 19,188 votes.
