Chicago Bears cornerback Charles Tillman and his wife, Jackie, welcomed their fourth child – a girl – on Monday.

Tillman tweeted Tuesday: “Thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers...wife and baby are doing great.”

Roethlisberger questionable for Sunday

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is rated as questionable for Sunday’s crucial NFL game against the Baltimore Ravens after suffering a shoulder sprain in Thursday’s win over the Kansas City Chiefs.

Von in hospital with intestinal pain

Skier Lindsey Vonn remained in a Colorado hospital Tuesday with “severe intestinal pain” that has bothered her for 2 weeks.

In an email, her spokesman, Lewis Kay, wrote that Vonn was “awaiting results from diagnostic testing for severe intestinal pain.”

Vonn was in Vail training with the U.S. Ski team, The next World Cup event is scheduled for Thanksgiving weekend in Aspen, Colo.

On pensions, Bivins and GOP far apart

Sen. Tim Bivins, R-Dixon, joined with many of his fellow Senate Republicans this week to reject a pension bill sponsored by Democratic Senate President John Cullerton of Chicago. The measure passed 40-16. Bivins had a different reason for his no vote.
