MILLEDGEVILLE – Dr. Tadeusz Maciejczyk, 89, died Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, at his home.

He was born on Nov. 1, 1923, in Warchova, Poland. He married Bernarda Boix on Jan. 5, 1956, in Sta Coloma de Farnes, Spain. He moved to Milledgeville with his family in 1965 and practiced family medicine there for the remainder of his career. He enjoyed painting and gardening.

Survivors include his wife, Bernarda of Chicago; four daughters, Irka (Samuel) Saunders of Martin, S.D., Maria (Stephen) Clapham of Des Moines, Iowa, and Teresa Maciejczyk and Cristina (David Koziol), both of Chicago; one son, Pablo (Eugenia) Maciejczyk of Spain; one sister, Maria of Poland; and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., with a wake service at 4:45 p.m., Thursday at McDonald Funeral Home in Milledgeville. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, followed by the Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., at St. Mary Catholic Church in Polo, with the Rev. Louis Tosto officiating. Private burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery in Milledgeville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his name to Hospice of the Rock River Valley.
