STERLING – Quintin E. Brown, 84, of Sterling, died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, at Sterling Pavilion Nursing Home. He worked as an equipment maintenance man at U.S. Silica in Ottawa for 37 years, retiring in 1996.

Quintin was born March 24, 1928, in Mineral, the son of Fred and Bessie (Woltz) Brown. He married Elmina F. Bentley on April 23, 1949, in Smithfield.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Robert (Cynthia) Brown of Sterling and Dr. Brian (Alisha) Brown of Hannibal, Mo.; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two brothers.

Inurnment will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Baughman Cemetery in Smithfield, with the Rev. Cecilia Granadosin officiating. A fellowship service will follow at Smithfield Red Brick School.
