Kudos, farmers market friends

Text Size: AaAaAaAaAa

Dixon Park District would like to thank the vendors, volunteers and customers for their support of a very successful 2012 farmers market. Vendor participation increased to include not only produce but fresh meat, fresh eggs, baked goods, crafts and plants.

The majority of items offered were either homegrown or homemade. Haymarket Square has been the site of a farmers market for well over 150 years.

In 2013, Link cards will be accepted at Dixon Park District Farmers Market. We welcome suggestions and ideas from vendors and patrons for future successful seasons.

Note to readers – William D. Ost is president of the Dixon Park District Board.

Good or bad? Depends on who you ask

Sometimes readers ask for more good news in the paper. They say we in the media only cover the bad. But one person's positive is another's negative.
