Ambulance soup supper planned

TAMPICO – Several happenings are planned during Tampico’s annual Christmas in the Country Dec. 8.

■ An Ambulance soup supper will be from 4 to 7 p.m. at the fire station, 103 N. Main St. Chili, chicken noodle soup, hot dogs and beverages will be available for a donation. Proceeds will go toward the purchase of new mandated pagers.

New ambulance cookbooks will be sold, and children will be able to purchase gifts from Santa’s shop.

■ Breakfast with Santa will be from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the fire station. Donations will be accepted.

■ Santa’s arrival and royalty crowing is at 4 p.m. at the ambulance building. Free caboose rides will be available to see the Christmas lights. Kindergartners through students in fifth grade should sign up for the contest before Santa arrives.
