DIXON – Joan Lillian Thomaschefsky, 79, of Dixon, died Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, at Serenity Hospice and Home in Oregon, surrounded by her loving family. She worked at Donaldson’s in Dixon, and was a caretaker prior to her retirement.

Joan was born Nov. 1, 1933, in Argonne, Wis., the daughter of Otto August and Inez Clara (Mosher) Thomaschefsky. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Dixon.

Survivors include four brothers, Otto “Mike” Thomaschefsky; Clifford “Bill” (Sherry) Thomaschefsky; Dan (Linda) Thomaschefsky, all of Argonne; and Leonard (Patricia) Thomaschefsky of Dixon; one sister, Vicki (Jim) Elam, of Argonne; a special niece, Dorry (Jon) Kingry of Dixon; a special nephew, Mark (Jean) Thomaschefsky of Sterling; along with several other nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Ramona Schultz and Betty Kevilus.

Joan requested no visitation or funeral services. Cremation rites have been accorded.  Burial will be at a later date at Argonne Cemetery in Wisconsin.

Arrangements were completed by Preston-Schilling Funeral Home in Dixon.
