Santa visits Tampico for Christmas

TAMPICO – Tampico will host its annual Christmas in the Country events and fundraisers.

Breakfast with Santa will be from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 8 at the Tampico Fire Station, 103 N. Main St.

Pancakes will be served for donations; and children can purchase gifts from Santa’s shop.

The Ambulance Soup Supper will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Dec. 8 at the fire station.

Chili, chicken noodle soup, hot dogs and drinks will be served for a donation. Proceeds will go toward new mandated pagers for EMTs and first responders.

New ambulance cookbooks also will be on sale; and.

Weather permitting, Santa will arrive at 4 p.m. Dec. 8 at the ambulance building, 103 N. Main St.

There will be free caboose rides to see Christmas lights.

Royalty also will be crowned. To sign up a child in kindergarten through fifth grade, visit the ambulance building before Santa arrives. A crown, medal and Christmas book will be awarded.
