ELDENA – Robert H. Hazelwood Jr., 71, of Eldena, died Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, at KSB Hospital in Dixon. Robert continued operating Hazelwood Sewer Septic Service in Dixon after his father passed away.
Robert was born March 8, 1941, in Dixon, the son of Robert H. and Darlene (Grizwald) Hazelwood Sr. He married Veronica Stein on Sept. 4, 2003, in Dixon.
Survivors include his wife, Veronica Hazelwood of Eldena; three sons, Gary (Laura) Hazelwood and Charles Hazelwood, both of Dixon, and Jeff (Carolyn) Hazelwood of Gary, Ind.; a daughter, Lori (Jeff) Raines of Dixon; a foster son, Gary Swartz of Lanark; two stepdaughters, Ashley Woodstrom of Dixon and Amanda Woodstrom of Princeton, Minn.; 16 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday, with family present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., at Preston-Schilling Funeral Home in Dixon. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Vincent O. Marrandino, director of pastoral care at KSB Hospital, officiating. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon.
